Solar film for windows is an invisible shield against heat
Interior curtains and blinds help reduce glare, but most of the heat they absorb stays indoors. Window films can reject as much as 50-80% of solar heat before it heats up the building’s interior.
The film stays in place every day of the year, with no electricity or daily adjustments required. When the sun shines, it helps prevent overheating and reduces glare. Air conditioning can then maintain a comfortable indoor temperature while using significantly less energy.

Good to know before choosing a film
1. How does solar film for windows reduce heat in your home?
Solar control window film reduces the amount of solar heat entering your home through the windows. It improves indoor comfort and reduces the need for air conditioning.
2. Will window film make the room darker or obstruct the view?
Options range from virtually invisible films to darker, more reflective solutions. A lightly tinted solar control film can reduce heat while preserving plenty of natural light and the view outside. We help you choose the option that best suits your preferences.
3. Does solar protection film protect furniture from fading?
Yes, window film helps slow down fading. For example, 3M Prestige Exterior films block up to 99.9% of UV radiation. However, fading cannot be prevented entirely, as visible light, heat and the properties of the materials also play a role.
4. Can window film provide privacy?
Yes. Reflective film can provide daytime privacy when it is brighter outside than inside. At night, with the interior lights on, it generally does not provide the same privacy. For privacy both day and night, you can choose frosted film, for example, although this prevents a clear view through the glass.
5. Can solar protection film be installed on all windows?
Yes. Window film can also be applied to the exterior surface of double-glazed windows.
6. Is the film installed on the inside or outside of the window?
The installation side depends on the glazing and the product selected. Solar control film designed for exterior installation rejects solar energy at the outer surface of the glazing. There are also films specifically designed for interior installation. We select the right solution for your property in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.
7. How is window film installed, and how long does it take?
The film is applied to thoroughly cleaned glass without replacing the windows. Installation time depends on the number and size of the windows. Typically, the work takes anywhere from a few hours to a few days.
8. How much does solar film for windows cost, including installation?
The price depends on the area to be covered, the film selected and the complexity of the installation. For example, windows located at height and the need for access platforms affect the total cost. Send us photos of your windows, approximate measurements and your property’s location, and we will assess the most suitable solution and prepare a quote.
9. How long does window film last, and what warranty does it come with?
Solar control window film is a long-lasting solution. Its lifespan depends on the product, installation location, weather conditions and care. Warranties vary by product. Our quote will specify the warranty period and terms applicable in Spain for the chosen film, and we will provide care instructions.
